The Dutch visual artist and TV host Jasper Krabbé is first and foremost a portrait artist. He has created several hundreds of portraits and self-portraits, often on existing material, such as envelopes, wrapping paper and pages from books.
A solo exhibition in 2015 at the Museum Belvédère inspired him to publish this book, titled Portraits, which features a number of new portraits and self-portraits by the artist. The editors have chosen to let the images speak for themselves, without any blurbs. At the back of the book you can find a comprehensive list of the works in the book, including the title, the year, the technique and dimensions of the works.
